This ‘REPORT ONE’ is concerning me taking part in the expedition North, the first on the Corners Project expeditions in 2011. By this İ also mean (as stated ın ‘when’) the situation because of which İ had to leave the expedition 4 days earlier. So İ missed two(2) so called ‘piazza public performances’ and the final discussion aka ‘the sharing session’ between all the partners, researchers and artist.

Sometimes İ think how easy and simple it would be, if İ would have a knowledge and skills to do simple statistical and formalistical fact constellation, where all date, location, times and descriptions would and could be found.

İn Corners2011 project and expeditions İ took part as visual(new and multi media)artist and as a researcher by which İ mean as scientist being trained in cultural (read visual) anthropology and theory of visual culture.

İn ten(10) days of travelling, researching and observing so called ‘north corner of Europe’ I collected, with the help of my Nokia 7230, around 160 color photographies and wrote a 51 pages long field diary.

All of this material documents can be found and interactively used on-line. But to give, report and show the on-line links, I think some information for introduction are necessary. The second story is so called ‘food.north’ story aka documentation of all local food and drinks, specialties that we tried and tasted aka had during the hole expedition in Sweden and Norway. More about this can be found on http://sonda.kibla.org/sweden2011-food.html

The third story is ‘panorama.sweden’ aka are collected panorama views of locations, spaces and moments where we been and visited during the expedition. All panoramas were, as the title says, made in Sweden and can be found and enjoyed on http://sonda.kibla.org/sweden2011-P1.html

Fourth story aka the fourth document is the ‘field diary nr-1’, the collection of written texts, reflections and observations that I wrote down everyday of the expedition before going to bed. Digital archive of scanned pages out of my book is located on http://sonda.kibla.org/field-diary-1.pdf

This three photo stories and the field diary are for now just on-line archived documents and of course a possible analyses, reflection and theoretical, scientific comparison after all Corners expedition take place could and should be made. Of course a field diary is already a kind of subtitle to the hole expedition and serves as a kınd of analyses or just as a personal reflection and together with following text they build up… Build up what? A report? Or?

İnforming. Coming together. Presenting to each other. Getting to know each other. Living and working together. Performing each other, performing to each other, performing to others. Us and them. Our story, our formation, our de-formation. Their story, their formation, their de-formation. The meeting, the dialog, the discussion. The platform for collecting, documenting and archiving. The platform for creating conditions, creating and distributing. Then saying goodbye, going, leaving and spreading stories, ideas, concepts.

And some questions İ had, have and wish, need to share for the end of ‘report one’. Here we go. Where and how should we start working and living together? What constitutes us? A choice? A decision? Who are we? İs there we? İs there a will to become, to be we? A will to build, create, make us? To constitute us? What do we do? What do we build? A story? A chaotic one? A real one? What is the goal, the concept behind we, behind us? What is the statement? What is our statement? Is there such a thing as our statement? Are we just a moving circus or something more focused? With a logic, structure and with the protocol behind? A logic we create, use and share? A social logic based on social a movie? Based on experiment that goes as far as social change? İs there a pre-decided story? A pre-pared statment? A pre-installed software, a pre-installed programme, ritual, story? And fears?
